Heh, overloaded with loot slowing your running speed and lots of monsters is tricky.
What spells do you have activated?

You can spam heal spells to stay alive and don't forget you have your Draconic powers (the shouts) as well.

I found dragons surprisingly easy to kill (my first Dragon kill felt awesome!) , although I did have arrows left to soften them up and having terrain to hide behind (such as huts, trees, rocks etc) whilst peppering them with arrows helps as well.

Also don't forget to steal the dragon essence when you kill a dragon, as it boosts your Draconic powers (erm... assuming you've got that far).

I've not played Skyrim for a while now, but it's a great fun game.
I've been pulled into an Android phone RPG called "9th Dawn" these days.
Sort of done in the flavor of the old Ultima series that was on the Spectrum and Commodore 64 many years ago.

Dragon woes.
This is a classic. Following my nose on a quest I crested the brow of a hill only to have my horse cut to ribbons by a sabre tooth. Continuing on foot I found the Skyrimm temple or some such....only to be attacked by a dragon. Using my new running speed I fled...I was out of arrows due to hunting, wild bears etc. I fled into a labyrinth. However on leaving loaded down with staffs of power the dragon was still there. Slaying the dragon and avoiding the trolls battling it is too much.
I tried fleeing outright and a third troll blocked my way!!! Lydia my huscarle is still lost in the maze...or too sensible to come out.

Stop press: New record number 17 (or even 27) lock picks broken. The irony being I had beaten said monster twice and picked chest successfully twice, but not saved.
Those who no my fabled lack of perception will find no surprise as I confess my new favourite spell is clairvoyance. I was completely lost in a dungeon and used it to find my way fact even better it sent me back to finish a conversation properly before guiding me back to the door. Thus despite Gore's excellent missile weapons advice I will probably be wandering around with that spell showing me the quickest route.
On boss battle satisfaction....against one undead critter I did end up trying almost every trick in the book, scrolls, potion guzzling, missile weapons, shield axe combos. I finally won by summoning a familiar...and as you say the satisfaction level was high...even though it took a lot of chopping up too.
On the subject of perception. I failed to perceive that rolemaster's equivalent was unless I can have a new character I think I will need copious amounts of clairvoyance type spells just for my current character to figure out his way to the market place etc.

Yeah, seen it was OK. Will I buy the DVD? NO!

If per chance you're thinking of seeing the new Hercules film, don't bother. I thought it was exceptionally poor and much worse than even the new Capt America film.

I saw it a week or so back.

It was a good laugh, basically one long combat scene broken up with a little bit of plot development!   lol

Another bit of advice.

You can take on stuff much tougher than you by using missile weapons as much as you can before charging into combat.

In areas where you can run about and get objects, bridges, ledges etc in between you and your opponents, you can really kill stuff you're probably not meant to be able to.
If your enemies have ranged attacks of course you need to sue cover as well.

Also don't forget you can use the healing spell is great if you ARE getting worn down by ranged attacks.

I've taken out boss monsters (admittedly it took a while) way tougher than me this way and it does give a certain level of satisfaction that you beat something that didn't involve charging up to it toe to toe and beat it to death.
Although there IS a time and place for this sort of thing too.
